Who got busted for selling alcohol to minors?


CORALVILLE – Employees from three Coralville businesses are accused of selling alcohol to an underage person during police stings Wednesday.

Charged with selling or supplying an alcoholic beverage to someone younger than 21 were:

  • Jessica Alvarez, 21, of Coralville, an employee at Deli Mart, 506 Second St.
  • Jordan Bontrager, 24, of Iowa City, an employee at Monica’s, 303 Second St.
  • Sun Kim, 46, of Coralville, an employee at Shogun Japanese Restaurant, 2510 Corridor Way.

The Coralville Police Department conducted alcohol compliance checks at 49 businesses in all, sending in an underage male to try to buy alcohol.
