NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ The Johnson and Johnson company unveiled its new Visine-brand "Eye-Bright" whitening strips Tuesday, an over-the-counter product designed to reduce unsightly stains in bloodshot and yellowed eyeballs. "If you're one of the millions who suffer from embarrassing ocular discoloration, this is the remedy you've been waiting for," spokeswoman Bonnie Jacob said of the adhesive strip, which, according to instructions, should be smoothed over an open eye, left on overnight while it fastens to the cornea, and then peeled off along with a thick membrane of broken capillaries and undesirable pigmentation. "Eye-Bright gets your eyeballs up to six shades whiter, thanks to a unique formula that penetrates optical tissues to scrub out ugly blotches at their source." Jacob added that consumers should discontinue use if swollen eyes reach billiard-ball size or sudden eruptions of vitreous fluid occur.




You know they made this for pot-heads, right?

F*ck those speed cameras

WATERLOO, Iowa --- The city is entertaining plans for cameras to catch and ticket speeding motorists and those running red lights. Waterloo City Council members received a sales pitch Monday from representatives of Gatso USA Inc. of Beverly, Mass., which installed similar traffic devices in Cedar Rapids earlier this year. Mayor Buck Clark and a majority of the council members said they were willing to entertain employing the cameras, which are designed to improve roadway safety but have been panned by opponents as being invasions of privacy and city revenue boosters. Cough cough..I call bullish*t. In an interview, mayor Clark says they don't have the funds or sources to have someone watch a intersection for speeders and accidents. But now they have the funds and sources for someone in a different state to review countless hours of tapes to find speeders and record their license plate? Huh? Power and Greed ruins everything. Sure," it's all about safety" when you can...
