Woman stabs boyfriend over video game system!

An Iowa City woman was arrested Thursday afternoon after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend during an argument.

Nina Simone Munson, 21, 2557 Whispering Prairie Ave., was charged with domestic abuse after she allegedly stabbed a man during an argument about 4:15 p.m. Thursday at 2401 Highway 6 East #2434.

According to police, the victim said he and Munson were arguing over her wanting to go out with friends, a discussion that turned into an argument about cell phones and a video game system. He said during the argument, Munson grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him twice in the leg and once in the hand as she yelled at him, police said. He tried to leave the apartment, but she slammed the door on his hand, according to the arrest report.

Officers noticed he had two small puncture wounds on his leg and one on his hand, and he also had a swollen hand, police said. Munson and the victim have been in a relationship for five years, according to police.

Munson remained in the Johnson County Jail Friday morning, with no bond yet set. If convicted of the aggravated misdemeanor, she faces up to two years in prison.

Madden is never worth getting stabbed over. Unless I'm undefeated in the 2nd round of the playoffs...then we have a problem, b*tches.

F*ck those speed cameras

WATERLOO, Iowa --- The city is entertaining plans for cameras to catch and ticket speeding motorists and those running red lights. Waterloo City Council members received a sales pitch Monday from representatives of Gatso USA Inc. of Beverly, Mass., which installed similar traffic devices in Cedar Rapids earlier this year. Mayor Buck Clark and a majority of the council members said they were willing to entertain employing the cameras, which are designed to improve roadway safety but have been panned by opponents as being invasions of privacy and city revenue boosters. Cough cough..I call bullish*t. In an interview, mayor Clark says they don't have the funds or sources to have someone watch a intersection for speeders and accidents. But now they have the funds and sources for someone in a different state to review countless hours of tapes to find speeders and record their license plate? Huh? Power and Greed ruins everything. Sure," it's all about safety" when you can...
